View XX post at a time. Could we have a button to take us to the last post placed on the top of the forum pages? In a rich man's house there is no place to spit but his face. Diogenes Of Sinope |

Isn't that what the setting "How to sort posts", set "newest first" in your Community Preferences under the Message Display section is for? |

The new forums are still a works in progress. By the way, with thanks to Raistmer for requesting this, where in my opinion it did not need fixing. If you have trouble with loading things on your phone, easiest solution is not to use your phone for that! |

Isn't that what the setting "How to sort posts", set "newest first" in your Community Preferences under the Message Display section is for? I have a hard time reading up the posts when the newest is on top. I am old fashioned and like to read my newspaper from top to bottom not the other way around. BTW thanks for adding the page listing on threads that looks very nice In a rich man's house there is no place to spit but his face. Diogenes Of Sinope |

If you have trouble with loading things on your phone, easiest solution is not to use your phone for that! Thanks to some construction near my home, my internet connection has been out for over two days. The only option I have is to browse by phone or go to a friend's house. I don't see suggesting not to use a phone as an ideal solution to the problem. |

It's how far your addiction to the internet goes, I suppose. When I changed ISPs, I was out of internet for 8 weeks. Never missed it a bit. But then I don't really need to know every second of another person's life, as some on this planet seem to do. ;-) |

It's how far your addiction to the internet goes, I suppose. When I changed ISPs, I was out of internet for 8 weeks. Never missed it a bit. Wow, if I didn't know you better, I would have sworn you were accusing me of having an internet addiction, or that I'm unable to live without the internet and that I must be constantly connected to other people online. Interpreted that way, your comment seems out of line with my responses, and certainly out of line as a judgement about my character. Dignifying you with a response: I can live without the internet, but I prefer to have it as I enjoy it as a tool and I believe it has enriched my life in numerous ways. One of those enrichments is to come here on the SETI forums to help people and to discuss what is important to me, and maybe learn a few things while I'm here too. I'd like to think that my internet "addiction" is well within check, but I see nothing wrong with visiting the forums on a mobile device, nor do I see anything wrong with making the forums more friendly to slower connections. |
