I've got a basement to clean too before Christmas. Then I've got to mud and seal the walls and seal floor. I might just squeeze in dropping the ceiling two inches and tuck ceiling tiles around the duct work.

Come spring the sewer lift will be put in for the toilet and shower and I'll tile the walls and floor, put in sink, shower and toilet. And after that I'll finish the walls out with tongue and grove knotty pine and carpet the rest of the floors.

Then I can put both my gun safes down there. And my ammo safe.

After all that I've got to plant my garden and tend to the yard work.

I just don't have the time for the world to end...

I'm sure the Maya will understand.

I own a rather modest four lane 1/32 scale slot car track and our club has decided to put on an event I'm calling "From Here To Eternity". I live on the east coast of the USA so we are starting the race at about 6:00PM EST and if the world doesn't come to an end by sunset Mexico City time we will end the race about 9:00 PM EST. The winner will get some sort of Mayan keepsake to record the event.
