For the past few days at a town not too far from me there has been some unexplained booming occurring. I live too far away to hear or feel it myself, though. Here is one good description I found: http://www.telegram.com/article/20120320/APA/303209792 According to this and other articles I have read it is not an earthquake, rupturing gas or water lines, and seems to be occurring underground. There are no mines or construction in that area. I was wondering what people here may have to say about this as the typical explanations seem to have been ruled out. One idea that I have about it is that something similar to the cause of the Guatemala sinkhole is occurring there. Another idea I have is that there may be some type large and sudden movement of rock caused by flowing lava or water. |

I think this noise from canada was from accurate news source: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5YxDwHxz5xU But before this some ukrainian tv showed similar sound happenning there: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F6ol6mu8PU4 The noises are similar but could be some pranks copycating mayan calendar craze. Based on how this noise is described I doubt this booming is related to those odd noises linked. |

My closest guess is these noises originated from geological phenomenons and clearly current science have not much experience with such phenomenons. So someone scientist explains that as radio wave noise thing which is really funny. Mandtugai! |
