I have been having an interesting bug in the SETI graphics display. When looking for new gaussians, I noticed the "#" symbol as well as a "-" sign appearing from time to time. I have been able to determine that some nontrivial % of the gaussian fit and score values are showing up as -.1#0 as the number. I don't know if this is just my system or a known problem (A search function for posts would be nice...) Probably low on the priority list, I still figured I should report it. EDIT: Ok, I stumbled across the search function for posts, at the top level of the forums, (I was looking for it in the "windows" section of this forum, a link on every page might prove helpful.) But it appears to be inoperative at this time. I searched for -.1#0 and it didn't even find this post, which it should have. That is most likely a divide by zero error. Hopefully someone familiar with the application code will look into it. The search function needs a minimum of 6? letters before it will find a match so -.1#0 is too short and will not turn up any matches. John Keck BOINCing since 2002/12/08 |
