Message 44497 - Posted: 9 Nov 2004, 0:33:35 UTC - in response to Message 44161.

How many Churches are there where there's a picture of Christ?
Isn't there always an image of Jesus on the cross facing the congregation in
the pews? Isn't that a likeness of God "who art in Heaven"? And what about
"Passion of the Christ"? Do we kill off Gibson for filming Caviezel who
assumes the role of God (or at least the son of God)?

...I can't deny gravity, but I get to choose about the word of God?

I'm still waiting for an answer.

BTW: 202.128.69.135 has been sniffing my port 445 and 7777 - Cease and desist.

Psalm 137 is also quite beautiful, until you get to the last two lines.

Well , I wonder about that. There is god on his throne and jesus sitting next to him for billions of years. What do you suppose they talk about? And of course, Jesus existed from the big inning also. Both of them know everything, past, present and future. What the hell could they possibly find to talk about?
Oh yes, of course, the weather.

This may not be a fair question, because you don't believe in him, but what is your definition of God? Actually, not so unfair, as you would have to know what it is that you do not believe in.

Wordweavr

You talk about Jesus Christ but I have not heard you mention Jesus of Nazareth. Are they different people? Paul talks of Jesus Christ but seems to know nothing of Mary, Joseph or Jesus of Nazareth. He doesn't mention the virgin birth. He preaches christ crucified but seems to know nothing about the crucifixion. To him it seems to be all spiritual. He does not claim to have known Jesus in the flesh.

Yes, I read it. I wasn't impressed with it. It had its good points and I think Dan Brown is a good historian. I think he shoud write non-fiction and leave the fiction to people who do it better. But of course, fiction is where the money is and everybody likes to eat regular.

Thanks for your comment. I've read it in 2 days, I just could stop reading
it...Now I am trying to make the difference between historical facts and
fiction in that story. You know, Marie Madelaine, the holly gral, the divine
feminity, The thing that has been hidden by the catholic church to fabricate
a new "truth" about Jesus in the new testament, etc. I am realy not familiar
with those story. What do you think ? Where is the line between truth and
fiction ?

Thanks

If you look way back somewheres I did tell everyone that religion is all about making money and the bottomline. Told you so. Wormweaver is just like the rest of them, praise Jesus and pass the plate. Jesus equals money. God equals money.
