G'Day,

just installed BOINC on the new MacBook Pro (15'') with Mac OS X 10.6.7 and received in red the
error message:

Message from server: Unknown app name in app_info.xml


What's that ?

Is there an app_info.xml file in your projects/setiathome.berkeley.edu folder (beneath the BOINC data folder)? If yes, who put it there? ;-)

No, nothing on the mac found like app_info.xml (or app_info.*)

Did you specifically check SETI's folder, or did you do a spotlight search? The BOINC data folder is in Library, which is probably not indexed by Spotlight.

/Library/Application Support/BOINC Data/projects/setiathome

If you have an app_info.xml file, it will be in there. Both of your Macs are using anonymous clients, so I'm guessing there should in fact be an app_info.xml file.
