The Cut-and-Grow Congress

Make no mistake about it, we are going to cut spending. This week, the House will debate and vote on a resolution instructing the Appropriations Committee to deliver on our promise of reducing nondefense discretionary spending to 2008 levels. We will also be asking our committees to look for the savings that we can achieve through the oversight process. The specifics will come from the committees of jurisdiction and the different agencies. Everything is on the table. We are serious about effecting spending reform in this town.



We'll reduce non-defense spending while raising non-non-defense spending.

We in the UK are pretty much peed off with our political parties, and it seems you guys in the USA are as well with yours.

Perhaps we should kick the lot of 'em out and appoint a world government? Oh sorry, I just tripped over the UN, never mind only a stubbed toe .... nothing important.
