I'm trying to run on OpenSolaris:

I've read http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=55394 , that's why I tried --no_gui_rpc, but that doesn't help. It's still does nothing.

Any advices?

Thanks!

Could you please try to generate a truss output, and send the output to me (seti_ boinc at dotsch dot de) for further debugging.
Command : "truss ./boinc_client --no_gui_rpc --attach_project http://setiweb.berkeley.edu <account id from my account page> > truss.log 2>&1 "

Have you set the LD_LIBRARY_PATH correctly as described in the installation guide ?
Could you please post the output from "ldd ./boinc_client"

Have you tried to use a older version (5.10.x) ? - On my homepage is also a BOINC client 5.10.45 and 5.10.45 available.

I have been running OpenSolaris on a virtual machine on top of Linux using both the BOINC client and the SETI application by Dotsch, and I still have 5 pending units although it is much slower than in Linux, since it sees my AMD Opteron 1210 with two cores and SSE3 capable only as a PentiumPro+mmx. But anytime SUSE updates my kernel for security reasons the VirtualBox refuses to start since it does not find the kernel driver. But when I download the new version of VirtualBox it starts again, with no problem.
