I'm running BOINC/Seti on a SuSE server. Over the weekend, we had a problem with out 'net connection. Now Boinc/Seti is saying it won't attempt to contact the servers for another week. How to I force a connect NOW ? GTG |

> cd to the directory that you are running BOINC from and do a Ctrl-C to halt > BOINC then start BOINC by the ./BOINC_client_you_are_using -update_prefs URL > > You can also do ./BOINC_client_you_are_using -h for a list of the options. Unless this has been fixed in newer BOINC releases, the -update_prefs option doesn't force a connection. Earlier versions needed to have the value in the min_rpc_time tag changed to 0. |
