3D animated screensaver: doesn't take too much CPU?

I wonder about the new screensaver in the windows version of the BOINC SETI@home. It's animated full screen 3D version of the old graphics. Doesn't this take too much CPU tims? (However, it's nice to watch :-) |

And if you set your screensaver CPU percentages properly in your profile pages, you can really limit how much goes to it. I've got it at 0.1%, and so long as your computer has a good hardware graphics card (I've got a Radeon), it works perfectly fine even with that little. On my other comp with intel extreme integrated graphics, it has some stuttering problems, but that's to be expected with such a wimpy excuse for a GPU. _____________________________________ |
