I have 2 tasks that are at 100 percent and this is the first time I'm using BOINC for mac. In the transfers tab it keeps failing. The messages keep saying:
Started uploaded of blah blah
Project communication failed: attempting access to reference site
Temporarily failed upload of blah blah: connect() failed
Backing off 1 hr 3 min 18 sec on upload of blah blah
Internet access OK- project servers may be temporarily down.

Anyone know if this is common? Are the servers down for uploading?

I checked my home PC and had the same problem. This looks like a network/server problem at Berkeley. For further info about server type problems check in at the PAnic mode on the server thread on the numbers crunching forum.

Also you say that this is the first time you've tried to use BOINC on MAC. do you have another account for other Computers? It's not necessary to create new accounts for each computer

Yes, the upload servers are currently down. No ETA as to when they'll be back up.

I am holding some too but don't worry, they will go in sooner or latter. I have held task for up to two weeks when SETI went down and they did go in and I received credit for them. They can extend the deadline if they take a long time to recover things.
