Can't he post himself, or can you give a link to his account so we can see what kind of errors he gets? |

It's download errors, alright. <message> app_version download error: couldn't get input files: <file_xfer_error> <file_name>seti_603.jpg</file_name> <error_code>-200</error_code> </file_xfer_error> </message> Go to your accounts->General computing preferences, edit them and set Skip image file verification? to Yes. Save changes to the web site, open BOINC Manager->Advanced view->Projects tab->Select Seti->Click Update. Then again... he does seem to have a couple that came in without download error, so it may have had to do with the download server problems that Seti had over the weekend. Still, if it starts doing download errors again, use that option. |

Which BOINC version is he running? Not one of the BOINC 6 versions, I don't think as that needs OSX 10.3.9 as minimum. (But then, with those numbers, what is Darwin 9.8.0?) |

Looks like he is running 6.10.17 from what I saw. Darwin 9.8.0 is actually OS X 10.5.8 if I remember correctly. Another possibility is have him try the optimized apps and see if those work correctly. http://www.arkayn.us/seti/OSX_V8_AP5_CORE2DUO.zip I supposed I could be referred to as the grey side as I run both. http://boinc2.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah/download_fanout/seti_603.jpg ![]() |
