When i had my first PC, 486DX2 66Mhz, 16Mb Ram 32bits, 32bits Cirrus Logic 4Mb.

I d like to play a game dos only, programmed by Lucas Sofware, it was too slow.

so i pgr config.sys and make a device=c:\dos\ramdrive.sys with 15Mb and leave
1Mb for dos and system.

but the game was enormous and take 18Mb on HD. so i launch the concurrent of
ms drivespace, i don't remember the name and compress the ramdrive to 2/1 compression, but when the pgr ask to reboot, i say "NO".
So you can copy the game on the compressed ramdrive, and the 18Mb take place in
15Mb RAM compressed.
So the game was Much more fluid and fast.
but when you leave the game you must copy the dir savedata in the original
directories in HDD, because it was a adventur game, and when i forgot to save
the dir savedata, i must begin at the old save point.

do you know a pgr that make ramdrive like amiga on clicking on a icon
that can be compressed, and the most important, that resist to reboot.
i had one on Amiga but i don't know if it exist on PC.
