Darwin vs OSX ?

Why is it that some Mac systems run BOINC as Darwin, others as OSX? |

Darwin is the kernel that OSX runs on and that is what is reported by BOINC to the servers. On BoincStats, it lists OSX and Darwin separately, that's what prompted my question... apologies for not clarifying that. |
