Hi, I have had a recent problem that caused my computer to reboot. This must have happened when BOINC was updating one of it's files, because when I restarted it reinitialized my SETI project, gave my computer a new ID, and lost all my workunits. They are still however on disk. My status page still reports all the "orphaned" workunits as on qeue for my system, but BOINC doesn't see them at all. Is there a way to discover these workunits again so that I can process them, or should I just delete the files and trust that the SETI project will reassign the workunits when no results appear from me? You could possibly edit them back into client_state.xml but the project will eventually send them back out so i wouldn't worry about it. John Keck BOINCing since 2002/12/08 |
