Yeah, The republicans in the CA state government are trying to balance the budget on the backs of those with the least income(SSI/SSP) by either $20 or $37 a month and are trying to do that retroactively to Jan 1st 2009(Mind You I don't get much as It is and to survive I need every penny as California is expensive and I sure can't just cut Myself off from My only Relatives and move to somewhere like Arkansas as I don't know the area or anyone there at all[I'm not dissing Arkansas as It's only meant to be an example]), Which some think might be illegal to do. Could the legislature cut their own pay by an equal amount instead? Sure. Will they, No. So far the Budget bill(26 or maybe 27, not sure) are in the CA Senate and is being held up by 2 Senators(yay!).
