Cuda & Heat

I dont want to cook my computer , the GPU runs up to 73C, is this too hot or not? For now I'm cooling with a window fan to keep it around 63C. Any Info on temp. range would be greatly appreciated, thanks. ID: 858328 ·

Maybe the automated fan speed regulating isnt working well. If not you can use RivaTuner to raise the fan speed. There are some ways to automate that with this tool. ID: 858488 ·

I've loaded latest NVIDIA software (and 181.22 drivers) to try and control fans, but the "policy" I've set to run at 100% when GPU reaches 60C doesn't seem to have made the slightest difference. I've also set up Speedfan, but again, no difference. How can I tell if the fan is ACTUALLY running? Noise? ID: 858528 ·

I wound the fan up slightly (to 45%) on my GTX295 with 181.20 drivers and managed to get it to hover around 70C. Then, yesterday I loaded the 185.20 Beta drivers and got an immediate 10C drop in temps - now chugging away quite happily around 60C. Might have to try turning the wick up a little to hurry up this backlog of VLAR's I'm trying to clear. F. ID: 858684 ·
