Hello: It's been a long time since I ran SAH.. Anyway, I was thinking to install on my home server since it is running 24/7/365 What I want to know is - are there any specific instructions for installing as a service on a Windows based server? Specifically this will be on Windows Home Server, which is an OS based on Windows Server 2003. Thanks! |

How to install BOINC as a service (BOINC 5 series) on Windows? .. use this in case the server is a domain server. BOINC 6 doesn't install on a domain server yet. But if you don't use it as a DS, then go for: How to install BOINC as a service (BOINC 6 series) on Windows? |

I don't believe WHS (Windows Home Server) is capable of being a Domain Server, hence the reduced price. |
