I keep getting a message telling me that the project is suspended at my request. Odd however with my big fingers I may have pressed the wrong button! There are several ways of suspending things. Please switch to the advanced vies (if you are not already there). On the activities menu, select "run always" or "run based on preferences:. (If based on preferences, we are going to have to check the preferences). On the projects tab, click on the project and then if there is a button labeled resume, click on that. On the tasks tab, click on each task (if any) and if there is a button labeled resume, click on that. Now, to check on the preferences. If you have ever set the local preferences (either by direclty editing the global_prefs_override.xml file, or with the UI from the advanced -> preferences menu), you are going to have to change the settings there. Otherwise, change the settings on the web site. In the UI, check the values on the Processor usage tab. While in use should be checked if you want BOINC to use the many small time slices that you don't use. Most machines are OK with this setting. On the WEB, there is a similar setting under Your Account -> Computing Preferences. After you change the web (if needed) please make certain that you update the project from your UI to see the changes. ![]() ![]() BOINC WIKI |
