Ever since I updated to the last two versions I've found that when I leave boinc on as the screensaver overnight, any process I've left on essentially freezes. If I go to bed downloading something from a website, have a torrent running, or are backing up a hard drive to another hard drive, when I wake up and check my computer eight hours later, there will be little or no progress with anything. This is usually the only time I run can boinc, and it is a real pain since I run things that take a few hours overnight to have them done in the morning. I've never had this problem before.

Oh, and OSX 10.5.4 and BOINC 6.2.18

Have you tried to update your preferences (Advanced > Preferences), especially processor usage? Change the usage from 100% down to 75% or so, or don't use all the processors for BOINC. This may help. Also, make sure BOINC isn't set to use too much of your memory as well. This will override your web based settings. You may want to update those as well.
