Another site of the BSI is www.bsi.bund.de It's somehow more "basic" in design but is providing more informations about current threats as well as information pages of several viruses. |

http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ is a good online scanner. Otherwise, if you think your system is virus infected, booting up a linux live cd, running clamscan, running the update, and scanning will likely find any virii. |

AVG Free Version http://www.grisoft.com Avast Free Version: http://www.avast.com/ MicroWorld Free http://www.mwti.net/antivirus/free_utilities.asp For online scanners, Housecall, as Alex suggested, plus: http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan/com/activescan_principal.htm http://securityresponse.symantec.com/ For Anti-trojan (not free)? Trojan Hunter (http://www.misec.net/products/), TDS-3 (http://www.diamondcs.com.au/index.php?page=home), and BOClean (http://www.nsclean.com/boclean.html) To upload a single suspicious file and have it scanned by multiple AVs: http://virusscan.jotti.dhs.org/ |

Hi, Av Personal is realy good, but I can also recommand Kaspersky Antivirus. It's not free, but I have a code from a pc magazin ->So I got a one year free use. The whole is more then the sum of its particles. Aristoteles Best wishes from Berlin(52°35'N,13°23'O), Basti S@h Berkeley's Staff Friends Club © member |

Kaspersky is one of the best AV programs that exist today, however it's not free. It does have trial versions but I'm not sure how (if) limited they are. If you have a questionable file you want to scan, you can use their web scanner at Kaspersky Online Virus Scanner. --- |

> the best AV programs that exist today, One of the best is Linux. No real viruses exist in the first place! See: http://www.mandrakelinux.com/en-gb/fscreenshots.php3 http://www.mandrakelinux.com/en-gb/concept.php3 Good luck, Martin (Please mention Martin_285 if you think it is a good move (;-)) |
