Computer ID: 25267
Software: BOINC v3.19 & SETI@home v3.08

If I go into BOINC, under the Work tab, and right click on the current package it is working on and choose "Show Graphics". My computer will reboot.

If I go into my display properties, under the Screen Saver tab, choose BOINC as the screen saver and click preview. My computer will reboot.

I am running the graphics through the motherboard (Foxconn 400M01-G-6L), but the graphics chip can support OpenGL and I have tired that with several other programs to double check. So far every program runs fine but slow, that I am not surprised about. I am out of ideas and wondered if anyone else had any suggestions?

If no one has any ideas where can submit bugs?

You're in the right place to submit bugs. The Devs are reading these pages.

You are not alone Lost@Space

The default Boinc screensaver works fine on my Shuttle FN41 computer with a new installation of the software. However when I selected minimalist with water world, and update the project, viewing the graphics caused a reboot. When the machine restarted, disc check found many of the files in the BOINC folder were corrupted. All work units completed or not were lost by the program.

This is repeatable. After reinstalling BOINC 3.19, and with the default SETI@homeclassic and Rainbow, I set horizontal and vertical oscillation range to zero. Again the machine rebooted when graphics were viewed, and all work units were lost.

A new computer ID was issued after each reboot and work units allotted to the old ID’s now appear dead. As a result there are now 35 work units in:-

C:\Program Files\BOINC\Projects\setiathome.berkley.edu

But only 12 of the units are now being recognised and used by BOINC.

I will not be trying the screen saver again; my apologies to all users who are awaiting credit conformation for work units that are now dead on my machine.

Shuttle FN41, AMD 3000XP, and GeForce4 MX Integrated graphics with NVIDIA 4114 drivers.
