Two UCSD scientists untangle a mystery, shedding light on why long strands tend to become knotted Sailors and mountaineers depend on knots for their lives. Make the wrong knot while rappeling down a cliff and you are dead. Tullio |

Two UCSD scientists untangle a mystery, shedding light on why long strands tend to become knotted im sorry but, this proves some ppl have too much time on their hands, not one time did they mention if any of these knots were usefull to mankind, nor did they tell me how to untangle the 50 sets of xmas lights i have in the garage, if only the could have helped me there and made room for my car id see this as well spent time and money, but no, they just confirmed with another bloody usless formula (that some teacher will force future students to learn, like we dont have enough af those in college right), that long stringy things get tangled, like duh, i knew that from about 3&1/2 years old man when i learned to tie shoe laces, i even knew about stringy things in boxes getting tangled a little later when i took up fishing, at about 8 years old, ah wait, i better stop i see another stupid reserch posibility here, the corelation between age and dumb ass time wasting in math geaks, now there's $30,000 just waiting to be wasted on a years study. :):):):) |
