I just saw that for the first time here. It might mean that the server was so busy it couldn't send some info the client wanted before the client gave up waiting. Mine just waited another 1 minute and reached the server with no error. |

The master fetch is when BOINC collects the infomation on where the various servers are that it will need to contact. After a few failed scheduler RPCs it will do a master fetch in case the scheduler server has changed its URL or something. John Keck testing BOINC since 2002/12/08 |

I have the same problem. It is the first time I have used BOINC, but I have done some Seti@Home work before with the old client. I suspect that it may be due to the firewall/proxy server we have at work, would this be possible? I have set-up the http proxy server, but to my knowledge there is no socks server available. Could this possibly be the firewall that is stopping me, or should I look for the problem elsewhere? |
