Having read a lot how far the Big Business is involved in the presidential elections over there in the States (as it maybe is everywhere else) - I think the wisest would be to vote for someone who never ever has been in politics before, who is a total unknown on the political/economical stage of liars, but someone who is known for being one who cares. (and I mean, it doesn't matter then, whether this person is female or male, colored or white, left or right - okay the last one is debatable)

Good point Thorin, but they already did in California by electing and re-electing Arnold Schwarzenegger. Unfortunately, no none political hack as come forward on the national level with the funds and a thick enough skin to take the personal abuse. Ron Paul for the Republicans, and Bill Richardson for the Democrats, are the closest we'll get of the presidential candidates that aren't total hacks, IMO.

You mean other than being a Dumbocrat, remaining married to an adulterer and only the 3rd man in US history to face impeachment and trying to push a health care plan that will be paid for by the working man and utilized by those without real jobs?

Heh, funny pictures there. I especially like Dominique's.

=======================

Just heard on radio that in Rochester, NH some nut took some hostages at the Hillary campaign office and claims to have a bomb strapped to him. He's demanding to meet with Hillary.

On the news at this time, and you can read about it at CNN.com's website, a man holding 2 hostages, with a bomb strapped to him, at Hilary's Campaign office in New Jersey.

BREAKING NEWS
MSNBC staff and news service reports
updated 19 minutes ago
ROCHESTER, N.H. - A man claiming to have a bomb walked in to Hillary Rodham Clinton’s campaign offices Friday and took hostages, police and witnesses said.

The man initially released two hostages, a woman and a child, and later a second woman was freed. It was unclear how many hostages remained.

The man had what appeared to be a bomb strapped to himself, said Bill Shaheen, a top Clinton state campaign official. "Hopefully, they're going to negotiate this so no one gets hurt," Shaheen told WMUR-TV in Rochester

WNBC-TV in New York quoted an unidentified law enforcement source as saying the man wanted to speak with Clinton.

Clinton, who was in Washington, D.C., canceled a speaking engagement and was meeting with staffers.

She did not respond publicly to the reported demands, but her campaign issued this statement: "We are in close contact with state and local authorities and are acting at their direction. We will release additional details as appropriate."

Witnesses described the man as in his 40s with salt-and-pepper hair.

WMUR-TV quoted a woman, Lettie Tzizik, saying she spoke to someone who said she had just been released by the man.

"A young woman with a 6-month- or 8-month-old infant came rushing into the store just in tears, and she said, 'You need to call 911. A man has just walked into the Clinton office, opened his coat and showed us a bomb strapped to his chest with duct tape.'"

Police surrounded the building, evacuated the immediate area and placed other buildings, including a nearby school, under lockdown.

"There are sharpshooters on the roof, and police are negotiating with someone in the building," another witness told WMUR-TV. "There are fire trucks behind the Hillary Clinton office."

State and local officials were in charge of the situation, and federal help had not been requested, NBC's Pete William reported. As a result, neither the FBI nor the Secret Service were participating.

Workers for Sen. Barack Obama’s campaign office in Rochester also were evacuated, a campaign spokesman said. The office is four doors away from Clinton’s. Staffers in John Edwards’ office, a few buildings away, evacuated as well.

Located 75 miles north of Boston in neighboring Massachusetts, Rochester is home to 30,117 people and the site of one of 16 of Clinton's offices in the state, according to Clinton's campaign Web site.

This report will be updated as information becomes available.

The man's son or son in law says that he doesn't have a real bomb and that the things taped to his chest are merely road flares.

Supposedly this man believes that he has a bug device implanted in his brain. lol.

Sounds like something to be discussed in Knightmare's Myths,Legends, and Conspiracies thread.

I have no problem with a woman being President, as long as that woman isn't Hitlery Klinton! Hell, I'd vote for Condi Rice.

Unfortunetly, Hitlery does have the lead and it is a near certain that Republicans can not win the next Presidential election. Thats why all these "throwaways" are being used in the Republican primary. They know none of them stand a chance.

I would like to see it differently, but thats the way it is.

EDIT: The funny and ironic part is that after Hitlery takes office will be Slick Willy's full title.

Since he was President once, he is still called "Mr. President" (as all former Presidents are).

...but, being a spouse, he is also the First Gentleman.

So his entire title becomes:

MR. FIRST GENTLEMAN PRESIDENT

MR. FIRST GENTLEMAN PRESIDENT

The more 'distinguished' a person becomes, the more 'ridiculous' their title becomes... ;)

Heheee. I thought she would actually succeed in making the Democrat nomination. I'm not so sure. And in addition I don't think she can actually win the election unless perhaps it's against Huckabee. She'd clean his clock. That's just my preliminary assessment. Someone like Giuliani or Romney or Thompson could go up against her and win.
