I post this thread because I can't not find an answer anywhere to my problem. Over the past 6 months, I have received many automated SETI@home emails stated that a group member of my team wants to retain ownership. I wish to deny this request due to the fact I established this team in 1999 and as of today still crushing SETI units.

Here is the email I received:

transfer foundership of U.S. Marine Corps in SETI@home.
Please visit

to transfer foundersnip or decline user's request.

If you do not respond to this request within two months, Jake will
be given the option to become the team founder.

Please do not respond to this email.
The mailbox is not monitored and the email
was sent using an automated system.

When I click on the link to deny the user's request, I go straight to a page where I HAVE TO CHOOSE a new founder and not giving the option to deny. Why can't I deny the request? I have 2 months to find out or I lose my ownership of the team I created 8 years ago.

As a team founder here myself in SETI I can say that I have received such a transfer request (some people will press the buttons to find out what they do :) and there was an option to deny the request as far as I can recall.
