I am in Kelowna, British Columbia now. Man the Okanagan is just as beautiful as I remember it. We had a fun drive from Berkeley up to BC. It took a while at the border since I had to give customs a list of everything we were bringing across, both now and in later trips. Tomorrow I'll visit UBCO and check out my lecture spaces etc. Should be fun. The outage seems to have gone smoothly so I can hopefully start doing more SETHI and GALFA science remotely.

Customs - oh Lord! . . . i remember those days @ that crossin' - though - in the End - i had received a 'Minister's Permit' - allowed mi crossin' anywhere anytime without so much as a whisper . . . hehe . . . the last time i crossed - the Guards saw mi Permit - AFTER i had told them i had 'no idea' when i was comin' back - so they confiscated it . . . idiots (i had been given it through a friend (House of Parliament - Ottawa) and found out later - they weren't suppose to ask mi to give it back - it was mine accordin' to 'certain' sources and i shouldn't have surrendered it to 'them' . . .

oh hum! - ramblin' - cna help but remember how beautiful it is up there and Banff - oh my god . . . the Moon comes up over the mountain line - and it's BIGGER than anything one has ever seen . . . lol!!
