Hi, first of all - sorry for my english... I've just installed Boinc. Before I used seti@home. I don't understand the english installation side. Here my questions: Do I have to delete the programm seti@home for running boinc? I don't get work units from boinc, why? Boinc asked me for the url, I filled the url from berkeley in. Seti runs for 100% Must I split the 100% for running Boinc also? If yes, what do I have to do? Is there anywhere a german board for boinc? I tried to change the language into german - but it doesn't works? Thank you in advance!!! |

"Do I have to delete the programm seti@home for running boinc?" No, but S@H classic will be terminated soon. "I don't get work units from boinc, why?" Currently the work splitter is having trouble producing enough work. "Boinc asked me for the url, I filled the url from berkeley in. Seti runs for 100% Must I split the 100% for running Boinc also? If yes, what do I have to do?" No, 100% is talking about the resource share for multiple projects. It is not the priority the .exe runs at. "Is there anywhere a german board for boinc?" Maybe at BOINC.de? If not, you can probably find links from there. "I tried to change the language into german - but it doesn't works?" Can't help you there, sorry. :( |

>I tried to change the language into german - but it doesn't works? There are several sub folders in the c:\\program files\\boinc\\ folder, named i.e as fr, nl or de. In every of this folder is a file language.ini. The de folder is the folder for the german language file. You must copy this file language.ini to the boinc folder. Then exit and start again the BOINC program and it should use the german language for titles and the menu. The SETI@home or other project messages will still be in english. > "Is there anywhere a german board for boinc?" There are several SETI@home or BOINC team messeage boards. On BOINC.DE there is a page Community where you can find team webpages. In example you can ask in the forum of team Nordlichter or team SETI.germany.
