HEY Orgatron! Glad to have you with us! Welcome to your team. :)

Don't be fooled by Shadow. He may be the quiet one, but that's the one you always have to watch out for. :P jk

Anyway, it's so nice to meet you and to have you as a friend of SETI.

To all of my fellow teammates, I've been having some issues at home and haven't been able to run BOINC 24/7, as much as I'd like, but it's still getting some work done and I'll get back to normal as soon as I can. Take care friends.

I too was having problems there for a while. I lost my broadband connection twice for a few hours!!! Somehow I managed to solve the problem. What kind of 'issues' were you having, Camel Guy? It would be interesting if they were the same as mine!

Hey Orgatron!

Sorry it's taken me so long to see this. Unfortunately, I'm still having those issues.lol What I am mainly referring to are some personal matters that are causing me to be away from home for a few days at a time. When that happens, I don't like to leave the computer running, because there is no one at home. I'm sure it would be fine to do so, but I'm always paranoid of having many electronic appliances running with no one at home, due to my concern with fire hazards and what not. Anyway, when the computer isn't on, there are no work units being crunched, which has resulted in my averages being a lot lower than what they would otherwise be. I'm hoping this will change in the near future, but at the very least, I'm still getting some work done in the meantime.

On another note, I hope everyone on the team is doing well. I'm still really proud to be a teammate of yours! Have a great weekend friends!!

For anyone else reading this, join us at the "Friends of SETI" and belong to a great team of really nice and friendly people!

Friends of SETI is a great team for anyone who considers themself a friend of the program. We're a relaxed, informal team of international friends that are organized for nothing more than crunhcing work units for SETI and some occasional, friendly chat. Join us, won't you?

Oh my goodness Knightmare, I never even noticed that myself! Wow, I'm really blown away that after all this time, we're just now noticing this. Still, I can't tell you how grateful I was and AM that you helped me out at that time. That was so very kind of you and it just shows what great people there are that hang around here at the SETI project's boards. Thank you again my friend and I hope you're doing well.

To the gentleman that made the comment about it being better to be misspelled "freinds" than "fiends", I got a good chuckle out of that and how right you are. "Fiends of SETI" just doesn't have that ring to it. :P

Have a great day guys and gals! To anyone seeing this that might like to join our wonderful team, feel free to follow the misspelled link below and I'll get it fixed as soon as I can. :)

To those looking for a team to attach to, consider being a part of THE FRIENDS OF SETI! We're a small group of people from around the globe who aren't concerned with numbers, rankings or competitions. Our primary focus is to just do our small part in this wonderful project, that is, to do what we can to help by allowing SETI work units to be crunched on our computers. That's it, there's nothing more to it. If you're looking for a fancy team chock full of activity and competition and what have you, we're not that team. If however, you're looking to just BELONG to a team, we are that team! Join us, won't you?

We welcome anyone and everyone who would like to be a part of our team. We're a small, friendly bunch and our approach is a bit different than a lot of other teams. We're not interested in how much work you do or how much credit and RAC you can accumulate. Our sole purpose is to just belong to a team.

We don't have functions. We don't have our own bulletin boards and/or team websites. We DO have a small group of people from around the globe who realize the importance of SETI and want to be able to contribute whatever amount of help we can, regardless of how large or small that amount is.

So...

If you consider yourself a friend of SETI..

If you'd like to belong to a team without any strings attached...

If you're looking for an environment where no one has expectations for how much credit or RAC that you should have...

WE have a team for you!

We are the "Friends of SETI" and we'd love to have ya with us!

Just click the blue link below to visit our team page and decide for yourself!

I'd like to extend a friendly and welcoming hand to Morpheus. It's wonderful to have you among us! We are a very small and extremely quiet group, but we're all proud to be doing our part in this great project. Every time someone like you joins us in this venture, it makes us that much prouder to be crunching those units as "Friends of SETI!"

Welcome aboard!
I haven't been crunching numbers on my computers for a while.
Being it is summer I don't want the extra load with all the air conditioning running. Plus I fear spikes and hits from electrical storms when I'm not there. I hardly use the computer at home during the summer. I works nights and sleep during the day. After summer passes, I will be crunching a lot more numbers.

Well it's almost officially over.
Summer that is.
Kind of went quick.
Happy Labor Day weekend!
I'll be working a 12 hr. shift Monday.
All time + 1/2. Don't do anything Labor Day weekend anyway. May as well make a few extra $$.

Hey Keno!! I hope you had a good Labor Day my friend. Sorry, I don't check the forum very often. I tried starting a new thread for us by ignoring this one for a month or two and then starting a new one, but some moderator deleted the new one and moved the new message(s) to this thread, so I guess that means this is our official thread forever.lol Anyway, I forget to check on it frequently, but I'm still around and still trying to crunch work. Glad to hear you're the same.

Hope everyone on the team is doing well and from my end, it's nice to be a teammate to each of ya. If you're reading this and are not on a team, consider joining us. We're a decent bunch. Take care friends!!
