Hello. I am running seti@home on my linux server, and i can connect to it with the BOINC manager from windows. If i use "schow graphic", the message "do you want to show the graphic on another computer?" (translation from the dutch). If i say yes, the graphic gets started on my linux server. Is it posible to get it started on windows, with the client running remotely? The same goes for the screensaver, can i get it to connect to a remote client? Greetz, Ger. |

Hello. It should be posible to connect from linux to the windows box and show the graphics on Linux. But I did not know, how to set up this on the windows box. You have got to set the password in gui_rpc_auth.cfg and start the boinc client with -allow_remote_gui_rpc on the Windows box. A search in the windows help desk could be helpfull... |

I am running solaris 10 client and manager on windows So far I know are the graphics features not compiled in Stefans boinc clients. I am not shure, if the offical boinc client (4.43) has build in the graphics features. But the boinc client 5.49 has a lot of bugfixes and improvents, so I recommend you the recent boinc client (5.49). |
