Firefox 3.5.x & Thunderbird 2.0.0.x - Ubuntu 9.04 & 9.10 & Windows XP-SP3

What "flavor" of Linux?

Won't make any difference if the standard boinc installer is used: that only expects vanilla Linux, not a specific distribution. (old libraries on ancient distributions like RH 7.1 notwithstanding!)

So far i know are there no problems with the BOINC clients on the old GLIBC 2 systems, like Red Hat 7.1.
But there was a problem on the SETI Enhanced with the old GLIBC. Simons optimized apps will work on the old GLIBC system.
