Is it possible to select for Seti@home a size of WU (in cpu time)? The time in general preferences apply to each projects and it seems there is not effect on WU size. |

Well, first off, SETI's result sizes are all the same. The different time lengths are because of Angle Range. I believe there might be only one project that allows you to choose size of the results you crunch. I am unsure which one that is. ![]() My movie https://vimeo.com/manage/videos/502242 |

Rosetta is the only project I know of that gives you the option of controlling the amount of time your machine spends on each work unit. You can set a target number of hours in the project preferences. As I understand it, this doesn't really control the size of work unit downloaded, it just determines how many sets of calculations your machine does on the work unit, but from the user's point of view, it has the effect of making it possible to decide at least approximately how long each work unit will take to complete. Rosetta is not really very good for modem users though, as you have at least a 10 megabyte download to fetch each work unit. Hope this helps ![]() |
