Hey Kevint, you got that new system up yet that you were talking about? I would sure like to see some pics of that one.

I worked on it today - had some trouble - only got one if the mobo's out of 4 working on the slate. Either I busted something or busted something else, time to call in the experts I guess.

And with me going out of town in a week - it is not looking like it will be done until after I get back somewhere around mid January.

Unless I can get some time to get it working. I leave every year for 4 week vacation to Brasil. Not much beats new years on the beach!

I had 2 of 4 mobo's working then moved some stuff around and nothing powers up.

Could be something as easy as the power supplies but I got tired of farting around with it today.

Those X6800's are sure fun to overclock with the right mobo - got one of them going at 4.4 today, just before it reached 96c then I had to shut it down for fear of a melt down.

BTW- I just noticed your SETI RAC is bigger than mine - I am going to have to do something about that! :)

Kevin, I just realized what you were talking about. Click on the team name and you will see the newer results. Much closer than you think.

A constant rate of 1,000,000 credits/day for total BOINC is not out of the question. As a matter of fact it will most likely be the reality going into the new year. At that rate we'll be gaining 500k+ credits/day on some of the teams ahead of us!

Good times. Good times.

I would love to post the links but just not here-

the "board" consists of 2 5130 duo CPU for a total of 16 cores and 2 XQ6700 for 8 more cores. The board will have 24 cores in total, and wall mountable. However I am thinking that if this all goes together like I planned, make it rack mountable and build a rack that can hold several more of these boards.

Like I have said before, it is a problem with space - consolodation of power is the name of the game here.

Single power hook up and single network hook-up - onboard HUB, onboard UPS, onboard video, keyboard mouse.

I had some trouble over the weekend however, had it powered up, now nadda. Figures!
