I'm running the latest version and have set my preferences but I keep seeing messages asking to connect . There is noting I can see in my setting that should be casing this. I am on a cable modem with a fire wall.

If you are on a cable modem then you should have your network preferences set to these:

Confirm before connecting to Internet? no

Disconnect when done? no

Any other settings on this page will be up to you. By the description you give of your problem you have the confirm before connecting set to "yes".

Change the settings by going to the seti homepage and clicking on "preferences" then click on "general preferences". After you have made any changes and saved them, return to boinc and highlight each project you have in your "projects" tab and click on "update project".

If this does not correct the problem let us know.
