When i start my Boinc client on my Solaris 8 with two CPUs the benchmark fails and runs repeatedly. At first i thought it would just fail and go about it business, but it keeps trying. The processes for checking the CPU run for while, but then show as sleeping, and the Boinc manager shows an error of ACTIVE_TASK_SET::check_app_exited(): pid 749 not found any ideas? |

Which boinc version do you use ? - The old 4.19 made such a behavior. But the actual 4.43 should be OK. Do you have the solaris recommended patches installed ? |

I have the patches installed, and am using the 4.43 client. Oddly enough, it started working fine yesterday, so i am not sure it is the way i was starting the process (via RC script) becuase i started it manually and 'asked' for the benchmarks to run (via -run_benchmark command) and they completed fine, so it seems to be something in the way i am using it. -Thanks |
