im sitting here making a custom install i`m going to
use on 3 computers (linux).

have added this from my current install:

>account_setiathome.berkeley.edu.xml
>boinc (client)
>(dir) /projects (with my prefered seticlient)

do i need some more xml/files to get this running,?

You don't need to add the project dirs. Just add the account*.xml files for any projects you wish to autojoin and on the first startup, BOINC will create the necessary project directories and contact the servers for work. Adding the account files to the existing tarball is all you'll need to do. Unpack, run and -- boom -- away you go.

Actually, Trane gave you some bad advice. You will need the app_info.xml file in your project folder along with your preferred Seti app.

Trane's advice would result in you crunching with the standard Berkeley app which, as I am sure you are aware, is a lot slower than the optimised apps available.
