I'm on 56k dialup and can process more than one WU in the time period between going online. Is it possible to download several WUs at a time, crunch them all and then Update manually when I dial in again? This way I could get more done and not worry that my ISP is going to cut off my "unlimited" service in the middle of a down or up load. thx |

Yes, you can set the WU cache in your preferences higher, and only send the results back, if you are online. If you uploading a lot of WUs, the boinc client will then request (download) a lot of WUs. You can set the WU cache on Your account site/General Preferences/Connect to network about every X days. After changed this on the website, you need to update your preferences from the boinc client. |

I just found this out by experimentation. Jeez, what a doofus I am. I let the word 'cache' throw me; this happened when I first heard the term 'resolution' in the computer sense, after coming from a background in silver emulsion photography. |
