After a couple of goes I now have Boinc running on FC2.
I have created a desktop link with Icon to start the Boinc manager, and that works fine.
I have also created a desktop link with Icon to start the Boinc client, as I havn't set it up to autostart on bootup, and this works fine.

What I need is a command to stop the Boinc client, as last time I shut the machine down it took ages, and I think there were problems killing the client. With a suitable command I can set up another desktop link, effectively having start and stop buttons for the client. Nigel.
