Either the forum index has been moved around or the BOTD is now considered a science. :)

i think it's a science...involving much painstaking research.

Oh aint that the truth! :-D

Dan, I've noticed a big change in things around here. It's very positive, and it may not be obvious, but I've been really trying too. :-)
It's just sometimes my sense of mischief gets the better of me, but there is no bad intent behind anything I say to anyone.

When you've got Olvatine in the cafe, you'd have to be crazy to stop. :-)

I like the sound of your friend. Sometimes it's good to give in to temptation, but only sometimes.

@Es99:

This is a quote from the "***** READ ME FIRST BEFORE POSTING *****" thread. I want to quote it here, for reasons that'll be obvious in my reply to this quote.
Sometimes I think people around here take things far too seriously.
Chill out everyone. Let the thread get messed up, people are messy, all you have to do is repost the rules or restart the thread. It's not the end of the world.
The whole idea with a sticky thread with posting rules/guidelines, or whatever you wish to call them, is to keep the thread clean of chatting. If it's cluttered up with discussion, it'll simply lose its purpose.

It's a tad suprising that people don't understnd this, and keeps posting over and over again in these threads. Is it so hard to leave them be? Not only Misfit stands for this thread. We are many who thinks some kind of discipline is needed. You are entitled to disagree with the "rules" and/or the existence of the thread, but the place to discuss that is not in that thread!

This thread isn't the place to discuss it either, which is why I took it over here.

Keep up Proggy, and drink some Ovaltine.

Which totally precluded requesting that it get sticky status. It was a peace thread after all. I am not angry, just disappointed. It was like someone setting off firecrackers during a memorial service at Hiroshima, or the like. Rather inappropriate IMO. Done is done. Reset.

Now back to the chocolate goodies, of which Ovaltine is one of my favs.

Actually Dogbytes, these discussions are all part of the peace process. Unfortunately you can't just demand peace and push a button. People still have old grievances which will bubble on and need to be aired and dealt with. I think your thread is the best place to try and resolve things. But that's just my own opinion. Not all discussions need end up in a flame war.
Obviously Chris/Misfit feel that they have been hard done by, and I know there are things that were said to me that I still feel upset about, and I know I'm not the only one.
They had a Truth and Reconciliation process in South Africa for a reason.

Quite true, however in South Africa they found a neutral venue. Whether you can compare the reasons for their process, and things relative to these boards is a matter of interpretation. What purpose will it serve here? I'll just leave it at that.

As far as pushing buttons go, try it. If the other parties persist, then that will become obvious to everyone. Let the fora deal with it.

As you wish. I'd rather sit and drink Ovaltine in the cafe anyway.
