Howdy! :) I'm trying to connect to Internet from a (cruncher) PC with temporary no connection... <puh> It seems I must do it via an USB cable to my mobile phone. LOL! I wonder how slow that'd be to upload and download WU's? |

Howdy! :) I use both my crunchers for Internet access and with the exception of a recurring slowdown problem, requiring reboot of my XP machine, I have no problems. My *nix box just goes, and goes, and goes, just like the Eveready bunny. (-:< CAPT Siran d'Vel'nahr - L L & P _\\// Winders 11 OS? "What a piece of junk!" - L. Great to hear everything goes smoothly with your puters, Siran. That's the good thing with *nix - it just runs. Windows XP isn't so bad either in that area. I still reboot almost every day, but that's by choice - after installing or deinstalling something. The temporary loss of Internet connection on one of "my" computers (@work), is because we just moved and the new broadband line hasn't arrived yet. Since we also decided to go for IP phones now, I can't use the ISDN card in the PC either... LOL! Luckily, we still have phone connection in the old location! Oh well, I will manage to connect somehow. Either by my mobile phone and GPRS or by installing a Wi-Fi card we happen to have and seek out a "free" Internet zone in the neighborhood. :) |

Just uploaded 224 results through GPRS on my mobile phone... Boy, it took some time to finish! But at least that PC is still in the run and my RAC jumped from 1100 to above 1500 in an instant. Lack of Internet connection doesn't stop this guy! ;) I wonder how big my phone bill will be this week, with almost $2 per MB in traffic charge? LOL! |

So much for my plan of catching up. We were within 50 RAC of each other. me@rescam.org |
