I just set up the new BOINC client (ver 3.19). It is using my C: drive, which only has 8 Gig of free space - how do I configure it to use D: drive, which has 60 Gig of free space?

The easiest way is to uninstall it from your C: drive and install it on your D: drive.

Then again, do you really think you'll be needing that much space for crunching Seti? If you want to crunch Weather Predicition or Astropulse, then yes, more room is good. But with the 32bit boundary giving you no more than 4GB of addressable space anyway, why bother?

SetiBoinc doesn't need much diskspace. At least not gigabytes, more likely about 20 MB to 100 MB at most.
The "allotted diskspace" issue is a great misconception. It fooled me as well ;-) The idea behind it is that if you're willing to share cpu power, why not share some diskspace as well? But only if it's needed by the project managers. As far as I know, it will be a long time before SetiBoinc will use ANY distributed diskspace at all. Moreover, since about everybody is allotting at least some of their space (you never know, right?), my guess is that the total amount of space might be much more than any project will need, ever.

The real culprit on disk space is going to be something like CPDN. The result files for this are supposed to be enormous. S@H doesn't really take that much space, and doesn't plan to as far as I am aware.
