I built and installed boinc client with Debian sources. The client is running, but when a request is sent this error is the response: 2005-12-13 14:29:16 [SETI@home] Message from server: platform 'x86_64-pc-linux-gnu' not found The system is Debian etch, Kernel 2.6.12-1-amd64-k8 Boinc Manager 5.2.13 gcc (GCC) 4.0.3 What can I do to get WUs? Thanks. Don |

You must dowload a standard seti app or download one from the third party site (boinc.berkeley.edu/download_other.php) or compile it by your self. If you compile it your self, you have to compute the reference WU, and verify if your results are in a valid range. Some compiler flags cause invalid math. So the results will not be validated. Also you must use the anyonymous platform mechanism( http://boinc.berkeley.edu/anonymous_platform.php), that the boinc client use your own binaries. |
