I run several platforms and several machines here at home. I've got everything ranging from AMD64 to UltraSPARC to DEC ALPHA to Athlon XP to Duron to MIPS R3000, and more.... Some of these are Windows, some are Linux, but most are NetBSD. Are there any plans by the SETI folks to compile "OFFICIAL" versions of NetBSD clients? I'll need NetBSD versions for Alpha 21164, UltraSPARC, and the MIPS R3000 (PMAX under NetBSD. It's a DECstation 5000/200, and yes, it runs nicely, for its age!). I also won't have a chance to check back here often, as I'm on the road quite alot, so, if someone from SETI is going to answer this, please email to ai8w-14 at ameritech dot net. Thanks in advance 73 de AI8W, Chris Abdico Concussio Fidens Servo Libertas Semper! ![]() ![]() |

I also need to point out that several of these machines have no X installed.. so no run_manager for me on those machines. Are there other options? I'm trying to migrate everything over to BOINC before the deadline, as it seems all my SAH classic results are "duplicates" for the last four or five days.. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. 73 de AI8W, Chris Abdico Concussio Fidens Servo Libertas Semper! ![]() ![]() |

Berkeley has no resources to make a offical binaries for this platforms. At boinc.berkeley.edu/download_other.php are binaries for your some of your needed platfroms available (NetBSD i386, Linux Sparc and Alpha). I am working on a NetBSD for Sparc binary. But have a lot of problems with the math libs. The problem on NetBSD Sparc is, that the reference WU don't compute correctly. The fixes, I have used for NetBSD i386 don't work on Sparc. I also planing for a port for NetBSD on Alpha. But I see a big problem in the math lib problems. It looks like this problem exist s on all NetBSDs, indipendend from the hardware. Are you interested for porting boinc and seti to the other platforms together with me ? |
