I recently downloaded and installed the 4.43 UNIX version. I have a SPARC 20 with 4 cpus.
1)The boincmgr fails with error 2!?
2)Run_client hangs up
3)/boinc runs, made contact, setup setiathome computer id, but always gets in a restart loop after downloading WU's. Slots 0-3 setup. I have to kill it and -reset_project
4)I can't run any boinc code without being SU, it always tells me another instance is running, when none is.

Do you run boinc on a NFS filesystem ?

Have you installed the gcc libs, and are the LD_LIBRARY_PATH correct set to the destination of the gcc libs (libgcc_s.sl and libstdc++.ssl) ? - Some detailed informations are in the thread http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=22123.
