I am trying to move from seti classic to BOINC and BOINC refuses to connect to seti. I have set up a new seti account and can login using mozilla. But BOINC keeps spitting out these messages about account key missing or bad e-mail address. I have tried every combination I can think of and nothing works. I can use the same information in mozilla and it works. How do you get this stupid thing to work? ![]() |

Can you please post the error messages from the boinc client. Which boinc version on which operatingsystem do you use ? A alternative method to register is described at point 3 in the HPUX install guide (http://boinc.berkeley.edu/hpux.html) |

Also look through these install instructions to see if you might have missed anything. As a wild guess, check the file permissions for your boinc directory tree. You can get much strangeness if boinc or s@h haven't got write access for whatever reason. ... As a guess, try changing your account password on the s@h account web page, and then try to attach oncemore (using your password rather than the account hex key). If that doesn't work, then check through the install notes (previous post). ... The e-mail account and password did the trick. Thanks, Now to the modem. ![]() |
