Is it possible to set up different preferences for different computers on the same account?

I am using a dual proc machine and the preferences for this computer are crushing an older computer I have on this account

Not for individual computers, but there's a workaround:

You can set individual preferences for 'home', 'work' and 'school'. This can be done for general and Seti@home preferences.

Then you go to 'view computers', click a machine and at the bootom of the form you can set this machine to use one of the three.
