Hi,

I'm getting the following message in my message log:
"Note: not requesting new work or reporting results"

I looked up the BOINC help but it's somewhat cryptic as to what I actually have to do! Could anyone offer me some steps to get me SETI-ing more units?

Cheers,
..Francis

In your case I think it may be one of two conditions preventing BOINC to request more work:

1) Look into 'your account' -> 'General preferences'. The value of 'Connect to network about every' defines, how much work is downloaded. BOINC tries to keep enough work on stock for this period. If you increase this value, BOINC will keep a bigger stock.

2) Be aware that the buttons in BOINC mgr show, what will happen when you press them. So in tab 'projects' the third btton must show 'no new work'. If it showas 'allow new work', then the system is set to NOT load new work.

There are other conditions which only apply if you are attached to more than one project. The BOINC-Wiki (see link in my sig) can tell you more about.
