Hi,

my prefs are like the title says:
Do work only after computer is idle for 5 minutes

how come boinc is hogging my processor while I'm working myself? Do I have to make adjustments to make it run only after 5 min after I leave my system alone?

Go into the file menu and choose "Run based on Preferences"

Also, have you updated the preferences on your local machine? Go to projects and select SETI, then press the Update button. This will force your machine to download the latest preferences from the web server.
