I'm wondering if there's a way to configure each of the computers that I register under my account so that it's preferences are individually set? I have seven systems, not all are part of BOINC yet, most have the Classic application running until I can figure this out. I'd like to give each system a specific set of preferences. Some are hardly used so I'd like BOINC to be running most of the time, others I'd like to run only certain hours of the day. The presets Home, Work, School are not ideal since they are limited to three categories. Maybe anyone know of a work-around? |

It sounds like you only need two categories - run all the time or run at specific times of the day. Shouldn't two categories be enough? Couldn't you set "Home" to run all the time and "Work" to run only during certain hours of the day and then set each computer to it's specific category? Or did you need more than three? |

That's exactly what I have done. As well in 'general' as in 'Seti' preferences you can build different settings for 'home', 'work' and 'school'. I 'misused' this possibiliy to have different settings. When viewing your computers in 'your account', you can set any of them to use one of the three profiles. If you do that in all projects you are attached to, you get an immense variety to choose of. :-)= Greybeard All about BOINC: BOINC-Wiki (by Paul D. Buck) ![]() |
