I am trying to increase my seti work avg. I noticed that when one work unit completes somtimes it stalls for a hour before doing another w/u. Does anyone have a suggestion for eliminating this pause. I could do two more w/u's without the pause. Thankyou. |

I tryed setting my preferences to 0 time between projects. It will hopefully work for me, since I only use Seti. Any other suggestions would be welcomed. Also, I had it set to 720min thinking that it would not switch to another project, or attemp to for 8hrs. Hopefully setting to 0 will eliminate the pause. |

I tryed setting my preferences to 0 time between projects. It will hopefully work for me, since I only use Seti. Any other suggestions would be welcomed. That setting only applies if you're running other projects besides SETI@Home. With only SETI@Home, it should just keep going on to the next one. I see you're using Maverick's optimized BOINC, I'm not familiar with what it might do differently from the standard BOINC. Anybody out there work with it and know? MJ ![]() |

You might have to increse your "connect every" setting. Try 0.5 as a minimum and see if that helps. This usually only happens if there is no available work when a unit is completed, the computer waits until it's next "normal" connect time, and downloads then. If this is happening when you already have more units on your computer, ignore my suggestion. I just noticed that you currently SEEM to have about 15 units out, if you don't have that many on your computer, there might be other problems. |
